    1. The panic disorder treatment is classified into three main categories. These are selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors or SSRIs, tricyclics and monoamine oxidase inhibitors or MAOI. As a panic disorder medicine, SSRIs are preferred as they tend to show fewer side effects. However thy might require some duration of time so as to show the symptoms disappearing.

    2. Anti anxiety medications-medicines like benzodiazepines have been known to reduce the effects of anxiety attacks. However, they have also been known to cause symptoms like drowsiness. Some patients have also reported a recurrence of the symptoms when they have stopped taking the drugs. For these reasons, most physicians shy away from using this group of panic disorder medicine, even though they may have many potential benefits.

    3. Not only this, but there is another group of medication that is used to treat this kind of disorders. The name is beta blocker. These are used to treat heart diseases but are useful in the treatment of these diseases also. These medication simply lower don the physical reactions and impulses in a panic attack.
